want to share with you about a bizzare food
from Korean. It know as beondegi. Beondegi
means a pupae which are seasoned and Korean
eat it as a snack.This snack are usually found at the
street and it also was selled in a can at grocery.
History
The beondegi was invented during a korean war.
During that war, they did not have a enough food to
eat for their energy. Despite of their situation, they keep
search for the food because they are very need the
energy on that time. After a few later, they found the
pupae and try to eat it. They found that the pupae are
tasted good and find that the pupae have a lot
of protein for their energy.
Nowadays, the Beondegi are famous among Korean people.
They eat it as a snack after they back from their work.
How to cook it ?
The ingredient that you need is the pupae, 1 tablespoon
soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 2 minced garlic.
Firstly, put the pupae in a pot and boil it for a while.
After a minute, take the pupae out and put it into a bowl.
Add salt, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon soy sauce
and 2 minced garlic. Mix the ingredient together and
put it into the oven and roast 45-60 minutes until it crisp.
After that, the beondegi are ready to serve. Usually,
Korean eat it with the soju at the night
after they back from their work.
Conclusion
The Korean people say that beondegi are tasted
very delicious, but it smell are a bit disgust.
The beondegi also have a lot of protein that body need.
To me, this beondegi is good to eat because of it tasted
and crunshed. But I will not eat because the smell
of beondegi will make me feel bad and
also it look like the pupae.
